“Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners…”  Hebrews 13:3

Statement of Faith

  • We are first and foremost, the chosen and redeemed children of God our Father, Romans 8:14-17, redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, indwelled by the person of God, the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in one true God manifested in the person of The Father, God; His Son, Jesus Christ; and our comforter and mentor, the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word and we base our eternal future on it and it alone.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He is the only way to God, John 14:6, and that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Living God, and by repentance and prayer we receive forgiveness of our sins.

  • We believe that by the profession of our faith that Jesus is the Son of God and that He sacrificed Himself on the cross, that He was buried and rose from the dead on the third day to be in Heaven at the right hand of God, a place of authority, that we are “born again” and become a new creation in Jesus Christ, our Lord.

  • We believe that when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior we receive Him, God, and the Holy Spirit into our lives to abide in us and with us forever, and that we possess all the attributes of God, the Father, Jesus, the Son, and the Holy Spirit within us.  John 14:16-17, 23, 26 – 15:26, 16:7-15.  The Holy Spirit is a gift from God the Father through Jesus Christ, the Gift, and the last is the receiver.  The gift is of no value unless it has been received.

  • We believe the Bible is as relevant today as when it was written by the inspiration of God. Furthermore, we believe God our Father is unchanging, as is His word.  We believe in the gifts as outlined in Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4, and 1 Peter 4, and that they are manifested as the Holy Spirit wills.  The gifts are not simply from the Holy Spirit, but instead, are various ways the Holy Spirit manifests Himself in us and through us.

  • We believe there is only one mediator between man and God, and that person is Jesus Christ.  We further believe that God hears and answers our prayers according to His will, and that we are guided in our prayer life by the Holy Spirit, if we allow Him to guide us.  We believe that our highest prayer embodies praise, worship and thanksgiving, and changes us to conform to God’s will for our lives.

  • We believe in partaking of the Lord’s Supper which represents the body and blood of Jesus Christ which He willingly gave for each of us for the forgiveness of sins by the shedding of His blood.  We believe that the bread and juice are only symbols of His body and blood, and that it is through our relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit that they become substance by our faith.

  • It is therefore, incumbent upon us, to submit ourselves to God, yield our very bodies to Him, surrender our “self” to Him, be filled with God, the Holy Spirit, and allow Him to perform His mighty works in and through us for His glory and our good. Romans 12:12, Ephesians 5:18, John 14:12-14

  • Therefore, we keep our eyes fixed upon Jesus Christ our Lord, the Author and Finisher of our faith and we press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:13-14, Hebrews 12:1-2

  • In summary, we are a group of folks who love God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and believe the Bible from Genesis 1:1 to the end of the book of Revelation; nothing added, nothing taken away.  We believe in teaching and preaching the Word the way it was intended to be shared and not watered down to be “consumer friendly.”

  • We believe in being givers of grace to others because without the Grace of God we would all be on the way to hell.

  • Our greatest desire here at Kentucky Jail Ministries, as we see time as we know it coming to an end, is to see people come to a saving Grace of God, our Father, through the sacrifice of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins, and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
